Developing the Next Generation of Sports Media Talent

At AFC Telford United, we’re committed to supporting individuals who are looking to take the next step in sports media.

We understand how difficult it can be to gain real experience in a live football environment, which is why we’re creating opportunities for those who already have a foundation in content creation to further develop their skills, build their portfolio, and learn alongside an established, operational media team.

This is a voluntary opportunity, designed to give individuals the flexibility to contribute in areas that best suit their interests and help them build relevant experience.

This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a working football club across a full season.

An Opportunity to Develop Further

This initiative is designed for individuals who are already creating content or developing their skills, and are now looking to apply that in a real-world football environment.

You’ll have the opportunity to be involved in areas such as:

• Matchday content, including live updates and graphics
• Filming and editing highlights from matches and key moments
• Capturing training sessions and behind-the-scenes content
• Supporting player and staff interviews
• Creating short-form content for social media
• Contributing to content ideas, features and campaigns

You’ll be working alongside an existing and experienced media team, giving you insight into how content is planned, created and delivered across a season.
